BUFFALO, NY - After a year of research, preparation, and hard work, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats launched their Esports program on Monday night, with Jordan Marks picking up a victory in week one of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) 2021 Playstation Madden Spring Cup.
"It was an exciting night here in downtown Buffalo," Director of Athletics and acting Esports Coach Damone Brown said. "We have a group of students who are passionate and talented gamers and it was great to see them do their thing and represent the Buffalo branch of Bryant & Stratton College tonight."
Marks, who played as the Carolina Panthers, completed a fourth quarter comeback en route to the 28-21 win. He entered the fourth trailing his opponent - who played as the Seattle Seahawks - 21-14 before tying the game with under two minutes left. He then intercepted Russell Wilson and took it in for the score to seal the comeback win.
Week two of the Madden Spring Cup is scheduled for next Monday night. The Xbox Madden Spring Cup is slated to begin later this week with Davon Ware and Daryl Haynes both set to take park for the Bobcats.
