Range, Brannon Named November Athletes of the Month

BUFFALO, NY - Senior Jonathan Range (men's basketball) and junior Janae Brannon (women's basketball) have been named the November Bobcat Athletes of the Month the athletic department announced today.  Both Range and Brannon have had stellar starts to their Bryant & Stratton Buffalo careers, leading each of their team's to high rankings in the national poll.

For the month of November, Range averaged 20.3 points in six games, leading BSC Buffalo to a 5-1 record and a #4 ranking in the first United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Poll. He scored a season-high 33 points and corralled 20 rebounds in a 100-95 win over Erie Community College on November 13th.  He scored in double-figures in all but one game and had four games with at least 21 points.  He averaged 9.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the month as well.

Brannon has been all over the floor, doing everything for the women's team.  She was named the USCAA Women's Division I National Player of the Week on November 26th after playing in all 40 minutes in back-to-back games as part of the Buffalo State Betty Abgott Invitational Tournament.  She was named the tournament MVP after leading the Buffalo Bobcats to a 65-60 win over host Buffalo State in the opening round, and a thrilling 80-78 win over Villa Maria College to win the title.  She hit the game-winning shot with 1.9 seconds left.  She finished the weekend with averaging 8.5 points per game and dishing out 7 assists per game. For the month of November she averaged 9.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 3.8 steals per game.
