Bobcats Can't Overcome Injuries in Loss to WAU
BUFFALO, NY - The injury bug has bitten the Buffalo Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton College men's basketball program over the last six weeks, and it finally caught up to them on Sunday as their quest to start the season 4-0 was squashed after a 70-58 loss to Washington Adventist to close out the 2024 Bobcat Bash.
Buffalo has been without senior guard and reigning National Player of the Year Armonee Felder all season, and was also without senior shooter Cameron Watts this weekend after suffering an injury in the season-opening Kickoff Classic. Junior guard Arthur Dukes and sophomore forward Swinton Lee both missed all preseason and the first weekend of the season and returned in limited roles this past weekend. To cap things, junior guard Zy Clemons was only able to play eight minutes over the weekend.
In just 20 minutes, Dukes was still able to lead the team in scoring, netting 20 points while fellow junior guard Galen Waters scored 16. Sophomore Tamir Thompson had another strong game, recording 12 rebounds, 6 points, and 3 assists.
