HAMBURG, NY - Despite a 15-8 edge in shot attempts, the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats squandered an early lead and were upended by Hilbert College on Tuesday, falling on the road to the Hawks 4-1 to fall to 2-2 on the season.
Freshmen Sumali Shamu and Justin Modeste each had four shots each but could not find the back of the net. Fellow freshman Aidan Byk remained hot, scoring in his fourth straight game to get Buffalo on the board first less than seven minutes in. That goal was assisted by newcomer Jason Clohessy.
Hilbert tied the game nearly 18 minutes later. The two teams played the first half to a 1-1 draw before Hilbert opened the scoring in the second half, scoring at the 48', 63', and 69' minute mark.
The Hawks were able to score on two corner kicks.
