Hunter Wins Men's Triple Jump as Bobcats Compete at Houghton
HOUGHTON, NY - Miles Hunter took victory in the men's triple jump as the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo men's track & field program competed in it's first ever event on Saturday at the Houghton December Classic. Hunter blew the field away as he recorded a jump of 13.19 meters, well ahead of second place finisher Gonyzer Foster of SUNY Cobleskill, who finished with a distance of 12.58 meters.
HOUGHTON, NY - Miles Hunter took victory in the men's triple jump as the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo men's track & field program competed in it's first ever event on Saturday at the Houghton December Classic. Hunter blew the field away as he recorded a jump of 13.19 meters, well ahead of second place finisher Gonyzer Foster of SUNY Cobleskill, who finished with a distance of 12.58 meters.
Hunter also took fifth place in the men's 60m dash where he finished with a time of 7.41, just .18 seconds behind first place finisher Brock Young of St. John Fisher.
In the triple jump, Hunter defeated competitors from SUNY Cobleskill, RIT, Daemen, Alfred State, Geneseo, Fredonia, Roberts Wesleyan, and Alfred.
Elias Carer-Faires also competed for Buffalo as he finished 22nd in the men's 600 Meter Run, posting a final time of 1:39.95.
UP NEXT
The Bobcats will next compete on Friday, December 9th at the Nazareth Alumni Opener at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, NY. Event start is scheduled for 4 p.m.
