Bobcats Take Home Title at Daniel Walker Invitational; Program's First Tournament Win

GRAND ISLAND, NY - In what was a total team effort with all five runners finishing with exceptional times, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats picked up the program's first team tournament win on Saturday at the Daniel Walker Invitational. The Buffalo Bobcats finished the event, which was hosted by Buffalo State College at Beaver Island State Park, finished nearly four minutes better than second place Hilbert College. "I'm extremly proud of our guys who showed that they can compete with everyone in Western New York," Head Coach Jeffrey Artis-Grey said. "This is a great achievement for these kids and for our program. Now it's time to build on and capitalize on this momentum. I know we can do even better." Zachary Mundy and Swinton Lee paced Buffalo as they each finished in 0:22:22 and tied for ninth place overall. Tamir Thompson and Malik Jean-Jacques each finished in 0:23:07, tied for 11th. Da'Mir Camper rounded out the team with a 16th place finish and a final time of 0:28:39. The Buffalo Bobcats are back on the course next weekend when they will take part in the Daemen Alumni Invitational hosted by Daemen University at Bassett Park in Williamsville.
