Bobcats' Win Streak Snapped in Loss at BSC Syracuse
SYRACUSE, NY - Despite a monster game from sophomore Danyea Barclay and a career-night from junior Shannon Bandoo, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats saw their four-game winning streak snapped in a 91-90 loss at Bryant & Stratton Syracuse on Saturday evening.
SYRACUSE, NY - Despite a monster game from sophomore Danyea Barclay and a career-night from junior Shannon Bandoo, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats saw their four-game winning streak snapped in a 91-90 loss at Bryant & Stratton Syracuse on Saturday evening.
Barclay was unstoppable as she finished with 18 points, 23 rebounds, nine assists, nine blocks and three steals. She also had eight offensive rebounds. Bandoo scored a season-high 18 points. She also had a season-high eight rebounds and matched a season-high with five assists.
With 1.7 seconds left, Barclay corralled an offensive rebound and scored while being fouled. She headed to the free throw line with a chance to tie the game but her attempt hit the back of the rim and fell out.
WHAT THEY SAID
"This was a little bit of a wake up call for us today. We were without our point guard but that really doesn't matter," BSC Buffalo Head Coach Brittnee Perry said. "We need to be stronger and more composed in these situations. Everything is a learning experience and this will be one of those if we take it in stride."
