Bobcats Pull Away from Shenango Late for Season-Opening Win

BUFFALO, NY - Despite a slow start, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo women's basketball program opened it's 2024-25 campaign with a home victory over Penn State Shenango 66-56 on Saturday afternoon.

Leading the way was senior Treanna Blenman who scored a career-high 18 points. She went 6-10 from the field and also added 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block.

Fellow seniors Chanice Willis and Ashlynn Johnson were each in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively, as Willis added 8 rebounds, 7 steals, and 4 assists.

Transfer guard Imani Ward finished with 9 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Buffalo held Shenango to just 34.9 percent from the floor and 13.3 percent from three.
